'In 1973 the “viability” standard (when a foetus could live outside the womb) was the most supportable line to draw in determining when a state may not regulate a woman’s right to an abortion, and was adopted by a 7-to-2 majority' here. That women whose lives are in danger because of their pregnancy will be sacrificed to their foetus? None of us in the 1970s. And we are rubbing our eyes in disbelief now in 2022.
