26th September

Colourful Cryséde clothes and accessories reappear in many of Harold Harvey's paintings. His wife's sister managed the first Cryséde Silks retail shop in Newlyn, and Gertrude clearly owned some very stylish Cryséde scarves. This is Titbits (1929, Bowerman Charitable Trust). Penlee House has a good Cryséde display and although the Harold Harvey exhibition closes this week,  the newly updated monograph is available.
