Threshing, Kent 1942-3 is in the Government Art Collection, which means that it hangs on the wall of a senior civil servant’s office. We know this because the author of the biography of Evelyn Dunbar, Gill Clarke, gave a talk in the shop a few years ago about her, and Dame Helen Ghosh – now the Director-General of the National Trust – came to the event and showed everyones a picture of Threshing on her phone, telling us that it hung on the wall in her office and she was lucky enough to look at it every day.
