Twelve Months of Flowers: February (n.d., Fitzwilliam) by Jacob van Huysum (1686-1740) highlights just how many varieties can be found this month. All twelve paintings by van Huysum are in the Fitzwilliam collection in Cambridge, and can be seen in Gallery 17 which is crammed with a remarkable collection of C17 and C18 botanical art.
