Daffodils are embedded in our culture from an early age, mainly through school nature tables and Wordsworth's poem. In this photo (undated) children are placing bunches of daffodils by the Dorothy Wordsworth memorial which was then in Harris Park in Cockermouth, the birthplace of Dorothy and William Wordsworth. Their childhood home now belongs to the National Trust
