Harold Harvey was prolific; around 600 of his paintings are known, with more still coming to light and being valued highly. Tulip Pickers (1926, private collection) is set above Newlyn with a fine view of St Mary's church and Penzance in the distance, and depicts local women gathering tulips to be taken by train to Covent Garden market in London. It sold for almost £94,000 in 2019. A recent Antiques Roadshow programme featured a painting by Harold Harvey which had been bought for a song, and is now worth a lot more (there is a charming video here).
