Women's cricket is fast increasing in popularity, with both the Ashes and The Hundred drawing both TV cameras and big crowds. Until recently, most people would only have heard of the sport in connection with the name of the marvellous Rachael Heyoe Flint (1939-2017). As her obituary said, she was a "trailblazer in women’s cricket who fought sexism and indifference with equal energy".
