Gertrude Priestman (1870-1954) came from a family of painters and her work has been largely eclipsed by that of her brother and her uncle - Arnold Priestman and Bertram Priestman. In fact her landscapes will almost certainly survive longer than their work. She too was educated in Bradford and moved to Ilkley. This is Locks on the Leeds-Liverpool, near Gargrave 1948.
