Salts Mill put this floral tribute on their Instagram, saying "Local flowers for a local lad". Hockney adored flowers both in his homes and as subjects, especially in his later iPad paintings. He was an important supporter of Salts Mill, near Bradford, and a great friend of Jonathan Silver who restored it. Its 1853 Gallery has one of the largest collections of Hockney's art, and there are also often temporary exhibitions of his work.
