Tableware designer, Turi Gramstad Oliver (b1938), is responsible for many well-known, popular patterns and designs produced by Figgjo. She joined the company in 1960 and made her breakthrough in 1962 with 'Lotte' (above) which illustrates Lotte "living a carefree life, lying in the grass, drinking coffee or flirting with a young man". It epitomises the Scandinavian modern style which influenced contemporary interiors in Norway and beyond in the 1960s and 1970s.
