A Persephone outing to Bridget Christie last night, and the prospect of a bit of lakeside beauty and beautiful people (the film of Madame Solari0 this afternoon) have made us far less sense of humour challenged. So here is a recipe tout court. (Although we have to quibble a bit about cornflakes: far better to use crushed digestive biscuits which you put in a clean paper bag or folded greaseproof paper and bang rather satisfyingly with a rolling pin; and in fact digestive biscuits probably don’t exist in America – just use any plain cookies and turn them into biscuit crumbs.)
