Elizabeth Blackadder, who is best known for her delicate watercolours of flowers, painted 'Venice Window' in the 1950s, probably when she was there on a travel scholarship. The painting is at the University of Stirling, which has an interesting blog post about it on their website (although they date it to the mid-60s) where it is described one of her "flattened paintings" in which we see the "colourful riches of Venice, glimpsed through the window".
