Following a visit, this week on the Post we have Venice as seen through the eyes not of Canaletto, Turner et al, but of more recent artists. The subjects are the same - little has changed in Venice for centuries - but modern sensibilities and styles have depicted the city in original and interesting new ways, as seen here in 'Venice', an atmospheric lithograph by Edward Bawden which was included in Travellers' Verse (1946).
