The Post this week features the work of Joyce Pallot (1912-2004) and Henry Collins (1910-1994) who met at Colchester School of Art in 1932, married, and worked together for the next sixty years. They are best known for their large-scale concrete murals which brought art to the high street in the 1960s and 1970s. This is a detail of their 1978 mural on the side of the former British Homes Stores in Stockport; amongst the history and famous locals there is a panel with a delightful collection of everyday items of homeware and food shopping.
