Now that typewriters are no longer manufactured, they have become collectors' items - Tom Hanks has an extensive collection - and artists' tools, although typewriter art itself is not new (Anni Albers created some lovely 'studies'). There is also a healthy market in reconditioned typewriters; Charlie Foxtrot sells beautiful old machines. This piece of typewriter art is by Gary Blake (1974).
