Edwin La Dell was one of the artists who produced lithographs in the late 1940s for the J Lyons series to brighten up their teashops after the war. This is Hastings (1947) and is typical of the project style (as explained by this useful article)

which included bright, cheerful, colourful images of contemporary Britain. Edwin La Dell also contributed a lithograph to the wonderful School Prints (1945-47) scheme.
